Work
Useful technology for complex organizations.
My work centers on making complex institutional technology more dependable, understandable, and useful.
That often means working across applications, data, infrastructure, process, security, and communication rather than treating any one system in isolation.
Technical Leadership and Enablement
I help colleagues and customers understand systems, make sound decisions, and use technology effectively. The work reduces ambiguous requirements, concentrated knowledge, weak adoption, and poor handoffs.
Representative work includes technical presentations, analytics and practical-AI peer training, student-worker direction, functional documentation, customer support, status communication, and vendor coordination.
Enterprise Applications
I administer, configure, secure, support, upgrade, test, and improve applications at the center of operational work. This helps address unreliable systems, fragmented ownership, difficult upgrades, unclear permissions, and recurring production defects.
Representative work includes enterprise facilities applications, cloud-migration coordination, SSO and directory integration, SMTP and endpoint changes, role-based workspaces, vendor escalations, and cross-system upgrade testing.
Data and Analytics
I create governed reporting environments that give operational teams reliable access to useful information. The work addresses inconsistent reporting, duplicated logic, inaccessible data, and teams that cannot trust what they see.
Representative work includes Power BI, on-premises gateway administration, shared semantic models, enterprise report distribution, operational dashboards, paginated and embedded reporting, SQL, validation, and requirements discovery.
Integrations and Automation
I connect systems, reduce repetitive work, and make information move more reliably through APIs, file exchanges, identity, middleware, scripting, deployment pipelines, and process redesign.
Representative work includes authenticated integrations, REST, GraphQL, SOAP, SFTP and file-based exchanges, migration automation, backup and deployment workflows, and cross-system troubleshooting.
Digital Operations
I work on the infrastructure behind websites, forms, payments, hosting, communications, and small-business systems. The aim is reliable, maintainable technology that fits the organization’s capacity.
Representative work includes Linux and web-server administration, WordPress and web applications, DNS and TLS, API integrations, custom internal tools, vendor management, staff training, and build-versus-buy decisions.
